The Art Gang Story
Voyage into a world untold - behind the headlines and local news feeds of blue and red lights flashing through the Decade of Death in Boyle Heights ‘Dog Town’ East LA. Families, lives and youth struggle to survive and thrive - some through art. Art that expresses itself on the sides of walls - testimonials of the creative energy of the youth who say ‘I am here.’
The following short is a small peak inside the world of the Art Gang. Produced entirely by the Art Gang Media Department we learn that The Art Gang is not just a group of artists from LA. It’s an LA movement. An informed community no longer limited to the margins, mutually supporting one another’s prosperity through the proud heritage of LA’s iconic Graffiti Art Scene.

We love taking viewers to the margins where can be found incredibly human stories that flip preconceived notions on their head. We love forcing the audience to face their own preconceived notions and admit the margins only exist in our minds. . I am thrilled to introduce the world to Fabian Debora and his Art Gang's mission because their community deserves to be recognized and supported as world class artists in their own right; and to further claim their title as the true creative genius behind the often misappropriated genre of "street" and "graffiti" art. Eternal and my vision for Fabian’s Art Gang is to completely redefine how to tell hard to reach stories. We will directly channel the Art Gang's creative energy into a sensory odyssey of their own making enhanced by technology, that's going to blow people's minds. Not just a talking head doc, not just an East LA story of a living collaboration of artists, but a provocative immersive journey into an intensely supportive community that unites raw and refined talent tempered through compassion, nurturing, kinship and prosperity. Truly lightning in a bottle that we're thrilled to be in collaboration with the incredible Fabian Debora to uncork.

“Intimate, nuanced, and intentional while placing subjects on a pedestal to display their humanity”, is how Eternal describes his work. As director of Fabian’s Art Gang, his story craft can reach new heights and for the first time embrace his little known background in animation as a mechanism of worldbuilding the invisible.
Eternal seeks out the UNTOLD and the UNSEEN having won 16 awards including his feature film Gaining Ground: The Fight for Black Land that was accepted into 17 Film Festivals winning 9 awards an honorable mention.
